Johor

Went to johor with 2 old friends, gab and tiong. The latter drove us to Jusco to have a look at the shopping center. Quite a good place to hang out, but don't have the mood to shop. So just went to eat Baskin Robbins.

We went over to this really remote area to have seafood - Orang Asli Villiage. Food was cheap, place was old school. Really great place to chill with beer and just bum.

Some photos I took with my phone....

My personal favourite...

Andy's Wedding

Just a picture to remind me what Bei Lim did - a whole cup of whiskey and beer. Trying to get us all drunk!!!

Majong

I am not a big fan of majong. I just don't have the concentration span to sit there and play. Majong requires brain power which I am lacking in it I think. Too many combinations and rules to remember. I prefer just watching TV, sleeping or gaming.

But I decided to join my police friends for a majong session since they have been complaining that I have been M.I.A and one of them came back from Australia. A plus point is that they were playing in NTU. The majong session thought me some new combinations to win in and also that alcohol with majong is not a right choice. I brought a bottle of whiskey over. Whiskey clouds your judgement, you become wreckless. The alcohol makes one feel 'happy'. But whiskey also allowed me to forget about how boring it was to sit there and look at cards, it leveled the playing field so I can win more games.

Overall I won about $10. Yeah. Maybe it can be a strategy next time.

Andy's Wedding

Congratulations to Andy Lim and his wife.

I attended his wedding and of course set at the table filled with my police friends. It was great catching up especially since I did not meet a few of them for a long time. It was even better to manage to meet up with Bei Lim and Chih Yong, both went overseas to study for sometime. Bei Lim brought a whisky too. I really did not want to drink since the night before I was at Movida working my liver. But when you are with friends whom you have not met for a long time, NO is just not the answer.

A group of guys means food was not enough. We went to supper after that at the prata shop I use to frequent during NS days. My friends decided to go KTV after that. I just tagged along. KTV is not really my thing as I can't sing and I have a hard time reading the chinese words. 99% of the time I only realise I know the song after they start singing. I'm actually shocked I managed to sing a few songs.

And no....the KTV was not lup sup kind. No girls ard for us to fondle etc.

Movida

I went to St.James to celebrate an old friend's bithday (JZ) which so happens to fall on the same day as me. The party was held at Movida. The place places latin like music but the dance floor was not really big. My friend's uncle opened a Chivas DA PAO, and it cost abt $800. When you spent that much, all your friends get to come in without queuing and no cover charge too. YEAH!

I remembered celebrating my 21st bday at dblO and I met JZ there too. Both of us were still young and reckless. Both of us knocked out midway thru the nite.

Drinks were plenty, Graveyard, champagne, chivas neat, chivas on the rocks etc. Music rocks, my company was good and it was great to catch up with some other mutual friends. I really don't know how I ended up getting forced to drink and was also helping JZ drink his share. I was pretty high, so much for drinking ALITTLE.

As I stumbled home with my liver working overtime I was running the images of the night over my spinning head. Was it the booze taking over? Was the cold sweat just my body's way of telling me I had a tad too much or was I worried? Was I drinking so much recently all just an excuse?

Whatever....

Happy Birthday JZ. I'm amazed you did not knock out by the time I left, though I hrd you went down after that. The group manage to finish the DA PAO....AMAZED

Diver alert system

Why do you need a spoon? Pam took the spoon down to knock on her tank to grab out attention. Since she prefers diving higer than all of us, she can see the overall picture and tell us what is above us. The spoon is lucky, the first trip down with it and we saw the school of 10+ white tip sharks.

Now that is innovation for you.

Ex Hall Outing

Met my ex-hall friends. Among all of them, I'm the only one left in hall 15. Majority of the conversation was on diving as shorty is an avid diver who just got back from Simlians (22 dives on a luxurious boat) and already booked his trip to Sipadan. Sportswoman also just got back from Sipadan and already looking at Perherntian. Miss boo boo also wants to learn, but procrastinating abt it. QQ's not going anywhere near fishes unless its into her mouth, but she's cool cos she likes Chivas neat.

Sigh, I am stuck on land and can only dream abt my next trip.

Thanks for the tee. It rocks

Blast from the past

You know when you are getting old when you no longer worry about IC checks when you go clubbing. I have forgotten such things even exists for the longest time. That only means I am getting old and I probably look 5 additional years of my age.

Imagine my suprise when the bouncer at Dragonfly asked me for my IC. I was stunned for a moment before I pulled out my IC to let him have a look. I probably look young from the lack of light.

Anyway, I went to St.James Power station with my friends whom I have not met for 2 years. They are my clubbing friends from my National Serivce days. It was fun to catch up and great to check out the new club.

Getting to old for the all night long loud music, drinking and dancing. I need a break from such things for another 2 years.

Fishing at Bottle Tree

I went fishing with Gab at Bottle Tree Park. The picture below explains why it is named that.

Fishing is tiring. All you do is sit there and look at the red marker. Not too sure if you all can see it in the piture below. You can try clicking on it and zooming ard it.
The place is pretty interesting. There is a pump, small fishing pond for the kids, prawn fishing and a restaurant. But I find the price a bit steep. Unless you are a good fisherman, it will really be a waste of money.
I found my jelly ice cream. But I still prefer the one I had at Hongkong Disney.

And here is the fish that we did not catch. Someone gave it to us. We only had near catches. I think I will stick to tennis!

Sentosa

It has been a long time since I went to sentosa and have been wanting to make a trip there during the school holiday. My neighbour asked and I agreed to follow although I really did not want the sun.

We reached about 11am and stayed till about 1pm. I think it is the timing, cause the beach was male dominated. How sad is that? Where are the bikini babes running and playing with the water.

I sneaked a few picutres of the only babe I found on the beach.

We went to Vivo for lunch and I ate Superdog. It was definately better than the usual hotdogs I have eaten, but WAY WAY more expensive. We took a long bus ride back home after a short walk ard vivo cause my friend never go before (suaku). Actually did not really know how long the bus ride was cause I was asleep.

Can someone tell me what time the babes go to sentosa?

Where it all happens

Went dinner with some JC friends whom I have not met for a few months. We then proceeded for drinks at Starbucks. With coffee places so abundance, catching up with friends is a simple affair. Over a cup of latte, we chat, laughed, joked, crapped and talked about the future.

How I wish life was that simple - everything done over a cup of coffee.

Annual

I have a friend (Pee brain) whom I meet up annually for dinner. We were wondering why we only meet up once a year untill I pass an innocent remark.

Pee brain (PB): Now I know why I meet you once a year. (She thought my comment was sacarstic)

Me: *Innocent look*

Here is one Pee Brain that is very troublesome. Her fringe cannot fall when the picture is taken, which also meant we had to take tons before she is satisfied.

The last time time we met for dinner, she told me "Anything also can". I found out she does not eat this and that and many more this and that. That part of "Anything also can" is that? Now I just let her choose where she wants to eat.
